New Flu Vaccine More Dangerous and Less Effective<\/strong><\/a> – Why does the CDC continue to push ineffective vaccines to prevent the flu while staying silent on the benefits of natural medicine? \u00a0Action Alert!<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)\u00a0recently greenlit<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0the nasal flu vaccine (FluMist) after advising the public to avoid that product for the last two years because it had not appeared to work as well against the H1N1 strain of the virus (even though the overall effectiveness of the flu vaccine in the 2017-2018 season was\u00a0just 40%<\/a><\/strong>). It\u2019s time for the CDC to stop guaranteeing profits for the vaccine industry and to start telling us the truth about how to really avoid the flu.\u00a0What caused the CDC\u2019s change of heart? According to\u00a0some reports<\/a><\/strong>, members of the CDC were worried that sidelining the nasal vaccine would mean fewer people get vaccinated\u2014demonstrating that the CDC is more concerned with vaccination rates than with safety. It must just be a coincidence that high vaccination rates mean higher profits for the vaccine industry.\u00a0Is FluMist safe? According to the\u00a0package insert<\/a><\/strong>, the nasal vaccine does not contain\u00a0mercury<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0aluminum<\/a><\/strong>, two adjuvants that are particularly troubling, but it does contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) which has been linked with a\u00a0long list of negative health effects<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0including thyroid damage, kidney dysfunction, brain lesions, seizures, increased risk of infertility, diabetes, and endocrine disruption.<\/p>\n

Is the Increase in the Childhood Vaccine Schedule Causing an Increase in Childhood Arthritis?<\/strong><\/a> – For people who think of arthritis as a disease of the elderly, learning that children also suffer from arthritic conditions may come as a shock. Across age groups, various forms of arthritis are a\u00a0growing public health problem<\/a>\u00a0in the United States.\u00a0New cases of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and other types of autoimmune arthritis in young Americans are\u00a0two to three times higher<\/a>\u00a0than in Canada, with cases occurring within the wider context of proliferating\u00a0pediatric autoimmune disorders<\/a>.\u00a0Over one four-year period (2001-2004), the number of\u00a0ambulatory care visits<\/a>\u00a0for pediatric arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions increased by 50%.\u00a0The medical community lumps childhood arthritic disorders under the broader umbrella of \u201cjuvenile rheumatoid arthritis\u201d or \u201cjuvenile idiopathic arthritis\u201d (JIA). \u201cIdiopathic\u201d means \u201cno identifiable cause.\u201d\u00a0There has been a predictable rush to pinpoint predisposing genetic factors, even though most of the genetic variations identified in JIA \u201care\u00a0shared<\/a>\u00a0across other autoimmune disorders.\u201d\u00a0Of more practical relevance, an emerging consensus points to\u00a0environmental factors<\/a>\u00a0as major contributors to JIA, with\u00a0childhood infections<\/a>\u00a0attracting particular attention.\u00a0In light of the interest in infections, how do we explain the deafening silence about the possible role of vaccines as an\u00a0autoimmune trigger<\/a>\u00a0for JIA, when the stock-in-trade of\u00a0vaccination<\/a>\u00a0is the \u201cmimicking [of] a natural infection\u201d?<\/p>\n

Gut immune cells reduce multiple sclerosis inflammation in study<\/strong><\/a> – The human intestine may contain key immune\u00a0cells that decrease brain inflammation in people with multiple sclerosis, a study says.\u00a0Researchers from the University of Toronto and the University of California San Francisco found that microbes known as plasma cells that live in the gut create Immunoglobulin A, or IgA, antibodies that can travel to the brain to suppress inflammation caused by MS.\u00a0The findings were\u00a0published Thursday<\/a>\u00a0in the journal Cell.\u00a0\u201cWe already knew what was and was not working in the clinic,\u201d Jen Gommerman, a professor of immunology at the University of Toronto and study senior author, said\u00a0in a news release<\/a>. \u201cBut here we\u2019ve uncovered the molecular and cellular mechanism at play. It\u2019s a kind of reverse translation approach, which highlights the importance of the gut-brain axis in MS and other autoimmune conditions.\u201d\u00a0While experimenting with lab mice and samples from human MS patients in a preclinical trial, the researchers observed IgA completely block MS inflammation.<\/p>\n
