However, Professor Chris Exley, from Keele University, says his latest research confirms it does indeed play a role in cognitive decline.\u00a0Here, in a piece for medical-blogging website\u00a0The Hippocratic Post, he reveals the findings from his latest study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/314709.php\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Up to a third of people with autism may be lacking a single protein in their brain,<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>according to research published in\u00a0<em>Molecular Cell<\/em>. The discovery, made by scientists at the University of Toronto, ON, could lead to new treatments for some people with the condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/optimistic-people-may-live-longer-heart-attack-164207302.html?ref=gs\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>People who expect good things to happen in the future are more likely than less-optimistic peers to survive<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>the decades following a first heart attack, a study in Israel suggests.
