According to the research team\u2019s new findings, the key protein utilized in the process known as Atg1 is regulated in both space and time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You don\u2019t say??\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.upi.com\/Health_News\/2016\/10\/20\/Scientists-uncover-more-details-on-how-cells-dispose-of-waste\/2261476982677\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>While it\u2019s well known that healthy living can lower the odds for colon cancer, a new study finds it\u2019s even true for men whose DNA<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>puts them at high risk for the disease.\u00a0Components of a healthy lifestyle include exercise, proper nutrition, no smoking and reduced alcohol consumption, the study authors said.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In type 1 diabetes, the immune system attacks the pancreas and destroys its insulin-producing cells.<\/strong>Patients often develop other immune system diseases, too. Indeed, in the current study, 27 percent of patients had at least one other autoimmune disorder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/food.ndtv.com\/health\/gut-bacteria-may-trigger-migraine-1478390\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Need Nitrates?\u00a0Researchers at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine (UC San Diego)<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>have found an association between migraines and microbes that reduce nitrates.\u00a0Analyzing data from the American Gut Project, they found that migraine sufferers harbored significantly more microbes in their mouths and guts with the ability to modify nitrates compared to people who do not get migraine headaches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"pg-headline\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/10\/18\/health\/anti-inflammatory-drugs-depression\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Anti-inflammatory drugs might someday treat depression? \u00a0<\/strong><\/a>Based on previous findings about depression, the team looked at the side effects experienced by patients given anti-cytokine drugs in 20 separate studies.
